Internationally acclaimed Israeli viola d' amore player Daniel Fradkin will perform solo and chamber works by Mozart, Hindemith, and LeClaire in collaboration with Del Mar College Music Department faculty members David Sutanto on piano and William Lipman on clarinet.
This concert will feature the World Premiere of Hindemith's Concerto for Viola D'Amore and Chamber Orchestra in a reduced form for viola d' amore, piano and clarinet. Fradkin has performed this concerto with numerous orchestras.
Strad magazine acknowledged the artist as a leading authority on the revival of the viola d' amore, an instrument that looks much like the violin and a precursor to the viola. Fradkin has performed with many international orchestras around the globe.
